Well, not that I had any real ideas to begin with. I mean, I do have some ideas, but they are very very very vague and practically nonexistant. Kind of like Sarah Palin's sane mind.
Crap. I should not be talking politics on post number two. I feel like that will just destine me for failure and lots of hate notes from Pro-Palin-ers.
Man, I'm liking how I capitalized some words and not others in the title. That looks classy.
ANYWAY. Real topic. Right. Uhm... I'll do that tomorrow. Or later tonight. Or possibly never.
Wait, I've got something: Horror Movies.
When I say I like horror movies, I'm both lying and telling the honest to god truth. I hate watching them. Hate it. I do not like being scared to the point where I cannot sleep for multiple days. I get that enough just reading about them, which I do often.
That's right, I read horror movies. The plots to me are, in some cases, fascinating: we would institutionalize any child or teen who came up with something like Saw or Chuckie, but if it's a screenwriter or director, they make millions and 7 bajillion sequels. Weird.
Anyway, I like to read about their plots (gotta love Wikipedia). And because I know the gists of at least... 30 to 50 movies, right off the top of my head, I notice a lot of repetition; about half of the horror movies made are remakes of older movies or foreign (meaning Asian films, because those guys come up with some crazy s***), and another big handful are part of a series. Most of those series? They should have ended at movie number 2. Saw? Don't even get me started. The idea is, I will admit, a little on the original side, but the whole concept of gratuitous torture for some sin or percieved sin is nothing new. But it can only last so long people. When I heard about Saw 3D, I nearly laughed out loud. I can picture it now: the audience watching as digits and ears and other extremities fly through the air and blood rains down upon them; the big shock moment where everyone draws back comes when someone's lung, liver, and pancreas come flying off the screen. Hell, why not make it 4D and have pig blood rain down on the audience during the goriest scenes?
Saw isn't the only series I have a problem with, though. I'm annoyed by the fact that there hasn't been a truly original horror film in years. Decades even. That upcoming movie "Let me in"? It was originally a Swedish movie called "Let the right one in", based on a Swedish book of the same name. Not exactly a novel idea (oh, what a pun). But practically every horror film is like that. Actually, every slasher film is like that - I'm starting to think that true horror films are becoming an endagered genre. Now all we get are blood and guts and wet hot chicks (thanks you, testosterone). It's a shame, really. Horror is an amazing film genre, given how much it makes annually, how millions of people pay to be scared sleepless.
So far, the scariest/most haunting film that I have ever read about is The Human Centipede. Wiki it. Be terrified.
If you've got any thoughts on the horror movie genre and the state it's in, or simply think you know a more scary f*** movie, speak up and let me know. I always love a good horror movie discussion!
Now I'm off to browse upcoming movies and see if the "Devil" Wikipedia article has any more detail yet. Latersssss!

Egads, I've started a blog!
Udoubtedly this will prove to be yet another wonderful way for me to waste my life away. But perhaps while I vegetate in front of my laptop, some good will come of this - maybe I will find myself in only a year, even less, with a huge fan following and a considerable amount of influence. Maybe. Probably not.
So, what am I going to write about? I've actually yet to figure that out myself. Until I discover something noteworthy to blather on about, you lovely readers will have to put up with a long series of ramblings about nothing and everything. To anyone who has time enough to read my words, I welcome you into what is basically going to be a reflection of my thoughts; until further notice, this blog is going to be just brimming with stories, reviews, concepts, and comments. Perhaps some of my photography will find it's way in? Who knows...
Well, for now I will shut up, as I am watching Sherlock Holmes, and Robert Downey Jr. demands my full attention. Until later, dear Internet!
